Snowdrop - A Vintage Style Clutch for Your Hand Sewing Essentials

I took a little break from my 365 Challenge blocks to design, create and write the pattern for Snowdrop.  The outer shell of this tri-fold clutch is created with silk velvet, lightly embellished with cream and gold threads and cords.  Silver lined size 6 beads were added for a little sparkle.  Yes, they were sewn on by machine!  The pincushion inside the clutch is quilted with a hanging diamond pattern 1/2" apart and filled with tiny little glass beads.  I found the sweet little owl scissor fob at Suzannne's Art House you can visit her here.  As most of my "Fancy Work" scissors come with a black sheath I decided to make one out of white leather to round out the ensemble.   Next I'll hand stitch that binding down and get back to those little 3" 365 Challenge blocks.  I don't want to fall too far behind.

Happy Stitching,
Shelley
