Gibsons Landing

Thursday, Bernie and I enjoyed a trip to Gibsons Landing our destination...Carola's Quilt Shop.  Our morning started out nice and early rising at 5:00am to finish getting organized for our TopStitchers Club, pack the car and catch the early ferry.
We arrived in time to take a few pictures and grab a Vanilla Latte from Blenz.

Catherine Adamson's beautiful artwork graces the walls at Blenz.  You can see more of Catherine's artwork here www.catherineadamson.com
This totem pole greets passengers at the entrance to the ferry terminal.

I couldn't resist snapping a shot of this whale...

All aboard...

The trip across the pond takes about 40 minutes.  Just enough time to get something to eat and do a little shopping at Passages Gift Shop.
Gibsons Landing.  About a 15 minute drive from the ferry.
 I love this sign.

Inside Carola's Quilt Shop you will find a candy store for sewers and quilters alike.  Carola has stocked her shop full of threads and fabrics to delight the senses.  Just one of several displays...
Alaina, Carola's lovely daughter, is a collector of these wonderful antique sewing machines and toys.  There is a delightful story behind each one.

After a fun day of teaching and exploring we had to head back home.  Here comes the ferry...

I highly recommend a trip to Carola's Quilt Shop.  I promise I did leave some threads behind for you.
